Willow Farm Primary is committed to meeting the requirements of the 2014 primary curriculum. We have updated our schemes of work to reflect the content and challenge of the 2014 curriculum.
The curriculum will be taught with the consideration of the needs of all learners. Our curriculum will be exciting and will inspire children to nurture a passion for learning.
Our children study the full range of the National Curriculum- English, Maths, Science, History, Geography, Art and Design, Music, Physical Education, Design and Technology, Computing, Modern Foreign Language, Personal, Social,Health, Sex and Relationship Education and Religious Education. We aim to make learning active and enjoyable with a strong emphasis on each child trying to achieve his or her best. We believe that people learn best when they are happy and interested and this attitude informs all our planning.
Staff regularly attend training events in order to stay up to date with current thinking, techniques and ideas.Teaching is supported by a wide range of good quality resources including outdoor learning areas, a Computing Suite, ipads, notebooks and interactive whiteboards in all classrooms. The school has benefited from a sustained programme of investment in equipment and refurbishing and provides a modern learning environment. Please click on the 'New Curriculum' link for a more detailed breakdown of the curriculum for each Year Group. Look through our photograph albums to see examples of activities, displays and work that illustrates each curriculum area. These photos will show examples across the whole of the school and will grow in numbers as the year progesses.
